Understanding Pain: What Most People Never Learn

A free workshop to help you understand your pain, calm your nervous system, and reconnect with your body.

Most people living with chronic pain are never given the full story. When your tests come back “normal,” it’s natural to wonder if the pain is “all in your head.” But what you feel is real — and it deserves to be understood.

This workshop offers a clear, empowering way to understand your pain from a nervous-system perspective. You’ll learn why pain can persist, how the brain interprets danger, and simple, gentle tools to support healing from the inside out.

Beginner-friendly, trauma-informed, and open to all bodies

What You'll Learn:

  • Why pain can persist even after tissues heal
  • How your nervous system contributes to pain
  • Simple grounding + movement tools to calm the body
  • Ways to build safety, support, and connection

Workshop Details:

  • Date: Thursday, December 18th, 2025
  • Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM EST
  • Location: Online via Google Meet
  • Cost: Free
  • Replay: Available to all who register.

What To Expect:

We’ll begin with a grounding practice to help you arrive, followed by a clear and accessible explanation of how pain works in the nervous system. Then we’ll move through some gentle somatic movement, a short guided meditation, and a reflection exercise. You’re welcome to participate in any way that feels comfortable — camera on or off, seated or lying down.

What To Bring:

  • A comfortable place to sit or lie down
  • A pillow, blanket, or chair for support
  • Water or tea
  • A notebook if you’d like to reflect
  • An open and curious mind
